Back from Australia...and 800 pictures later!

How to choose...how to choose...
We went all over the continent.
The red tingle tree is a variety of eucalytus which occupies the roughly the same ecosystem as the giant sequoias.
They are very old, they are found in a very limited area of southwest Australia in the Walpole national park. They are resistant to fire like redwoods. The heartwood can burn but the outer life support system survives. They even have a red, fibrous bark like the redwoods.
At Walpole there is a wonderful canopy walk bridge.
You can see our shadows on the trunk of the tree.
